Several new bills introduced in Florida and Hawaii may have far-reaching consequences for
timeshare owners if similar laws are adopted by other states. Florida and Hawaii have many
timeshare resorts and are usually at the forefront of timeshare legislation frequently emulated in

Five owners at Poipu Point on Kauai, Hawaii, faced with a special assessment in
excess of $5,000 per week for reconstruction to correct water intrusion damage to
the buildings, have rebelled against the assessment by filing a lengthy class action
Complaint against Diamond Resort International (“DRI”), its CEO Stephen

In very small letters was the sign for Royale Beach Resort. The guard at the gated entrance
gave us a vehicle pass and we were greeted cordially by the front desk staff, which offered us a luggage trolley.

A week in Santa Fe, New Mexico is an informative, relaxing and enjoyable trip into the cuisine, history and arts of Spanish
Colonial New Mexico and the modern Southwest. The Villas de Santa Fe time share experience provides a comfortable base for
your exploration. It is a Diamond Resort built in a residential area with three buildings.
Beginning with finding parking spaces reserved for check-in and plenty of handicapped parking, our time spent here was a joy.
The staff of the resort made check-in easy and were especially helpful throughout our stay. There was a cart in each building to
assist with unloading.
Villas de Santa Fe is a ten-minute walk from Santa Fe Square, the city
center. (If you are walking at night, take a small flashlight for your safety in possible
dimly lighted routes.) While there are no on-site restaurants at this resort,
there are many, many outstanding restaurants close by. Grocery shopping and a
mall are five minutes away. A gas station with good prices is also close.
